PC Video card to TV issues..?

Okay, first tried a ATIX800 card into an Insignia 27" a while ago, got it working fine, but then I moved the TV closer to the computer, and when I reconnected everything, both the video card and the TV fried. This was through a 3 wire component cable. I replaced the TV with a HDTV (Insignia™ 27" Flat-Tube HDTV -Silver/Black Model: NS-27HTV) and the card with a [SAPPHIRE 100131L Radeon X800GTO 256MB GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X]. When I hooked the card into the TV this time, through the normal yellow component cable, (1 wire, came with card) it fried the TV out on the vid card. My question is, I'm replacing the video card again, and want to use the TV above as an alternate display. It supports HDMI and such, but I want to avoid frying it. All units were off when connected, aside from this very last time, TV was on, comp off. Any ideas on why this is happening?|||well thats very odd to happen.... you can replace your card with any card it wont matter although you can purchase a standard DVI or VGA cable and connect your video card to your tv from that connection this will work an it is most likely garanteed not to fry your tv|||So you fried two TV cards and one TV so far?

Please, please PLEASE read the ******* manual before you hook anything up. It often has pictures and everything.|||It sounds like somehow you have the wiring incorrect.

Double check the manual for the TV AND the card!

This should tell you exactly how to connect which device in what manner.
