Can anyone help with issue connecting pc to tv through s-video, may be problem with graphics card?

For years we have ben able to watch stuff on the tv from the pc by connecting it to the pc with a s-video cable. Had some gaming problems and needed to install new drivers for the graphics card (Nvidia geforce 6600 LE). Since then we can't get the s-video connection to work. (Connecting to a Pioneer plasma tv PDP-4270XD)

The start up screen comes up on tv fine but once Windows is loaded up it changes to black and white flickering.

Have spent many hours trying to sort this out and would be sooooo grateful if anyone can help as searching through forums on the 'net is drawing a blank!

umm other than that make sure your TVs on the right channel.
